A water and mold business built around the record
Mold Remediation West Palm Beach Florida is a water restoration and mold remediation business working from 1990 Kirk Rd in Palm Springs, immediately west of West Palm Beach. We take work across West Palm Beach and eight neighbouring Palm Beach County towns: Palm Beach, Lake Worth Beach, Greenacres, Royal Palm Beach, Lantana, Riviera Beach, Atlantis and Ocean Ridge.
The business exists because of a pattern we kept seeing on this coast. Water gets into a house, someone lifts the carpet and points a fan at the floor, and three weeks later the baseboard smells. Or a wall is opened, sprayed and closed again while the leak that caused it is still running. The drying and the mold work were treated as separate errands instead of one sequence with measurements at both ends.
What we actually do is remove standing water, dry structural assemblies, trace leaks to their source and remediate mold where growth is confirmed. That means water extraction, storm damage response, water leak detection and structural drying on one side, and containment, removal of affected material, surface cleaning and correction of the moisture source on the other. The two services share one method: read the moisture, write the scope, do the work in a defined order, read the moisture again.
We do not present ourselves as a full rebuilding company. Plumbing, roofing, electrical work, cabinetry and full reconstruction belong to the trades that own them, and we say so in writing at hand-back. If a job needs a licensed trade we do not hold, our role is to finish the drying or remediation properly and tell you exactly what still has to happen and why.
Drying equipment is not the hard part. The hard part is knowing when to stop, what to take out and how to prove either decision later. Every job gets a moisture map: points marked on the floor plan, meter readings photographed, and the same points read again at the end. Walls and cabinets are read, not guessed at. When a homeowner, a property manager or an adjuster asks why a section of drywall came out, the answer is a number and a date.
That record also protects you from the most common bad outcome in this trade, which is work that expands because nobody agreed where it stopped. Our scope separates emergency water work from permanent repairs, and it separates both from mold remediation. You approve each part with the boundary visible.
The county does not have one housing stock. East of Dixie Highway you find older block and stucco houses, terrazzo floors and additions stacked on additions, some of them close to the water table. West of Military Trail the 1950s and 1960s boom, the 1970s and 1980s subdivisions around Greenacres and Royal Palm Beach, and the later gated communities each bring different assemblies: slab-on-grade, CBS walls, frame-and-stucco, tile over membrane, and flat or low-slope roofs with interior ceilings that hide the first sign of a leak.
Those differences change the work. A terrazzo floor over a slab dries from the surface and can trap moisture underneath. A block wall wicks and holds water above the visible line. A frame wall with vinyl wallpaper can look dry on the room side while the cavity stays wet for days. We read the assembly in front of us instead of applying one recipe to every address.
This is a flat, low-lying county with a canal network built to move water quickly, and a water table that sits close to the surface in many neighbourhoods. After a heavy storm, water does not always come through the roof. It comes up through slab cracks, through garage and patio transitions, and through the base of walls where the exterior grade is close to the floor line. The C-51 canal and the system around it are part of why the region drains at all, and they are also why "the water went away by itself" is not the same as "the house is dry".
We plan around that. Extraction starts at the lowest point, drying accounts for humidity that is already high before we arrive, and the final readings are compared with an outdoor reference as well as a dry indoor one. In a climate where the air holds water, a dehumidifier running without a target is just noise.
You will get questions before a visit: what is wet, where it came from, whether it is still running, and what the rooms are made of. You will get a safety instruction if water is near outlets or panels. You will not get a price over the phone for work nobody has seen, and you will not get a promise about your insurance. What you will get, once we have walked the loss, is a written scope with the readings attached and a clear line between our work and the next trade.
If that sounds like the way you want a wet house handled, call (561) 960-0937. If you are comparing options, ask each one the same three questions: where are the readings, what is the removal line, and who owns the repair. The answers will sort the list for you.
- A written scope before work starts, with emergency work separated from permanent repairs
- Moisture readings marked, photographed and repeated at the same points
- Mold remediation only where growth is confirmed, with the moisture source corrected
